The Spirit of Cozy
It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love the spirit of the holidays and the spirit of cozy :) I already decorated 2 Christmas trees and did some Christmas shopping, for me that is! I am a last minute kind of a person when it comes to getting gifts. In the meantime, I've just been enjoying everything Christmas related, that my beautiful city has to offer. If you are visiting Chicago or just want to take your honey on a date, take them to Christkindl Market on Daley Plaza, to get a taste of German authentic food and spiced wine. You can find many great hand made goodies there, perfect little gifts for anyone in your family! Visit Lincoln Park Zoo for their annual Zoo Lights Festival, where you can stroll through beautifully decorated zoo sidewalks and even find a live ice sculpting show. Maggie Daley Park has a new ice skating path that I am just dying to check out soon! And of course last but not least, shopping along the Magnificent Mile during the holiday season. Nothing compares to that!
What I love the most about winter season is the fact I get to wear boots like these, they are 'Sidney' Riding Boots from Vince Camuto. I paired them up with Low-Rise Rockstar Skinny Jeans in a lighter wash from Old Navy. I went for neutral colors to let my boots be the focal point of the outfit. Fringe sweater (similar linked) is oh so cozy and so is this Faux Suede Aviator Jacket, which is now on sale!. The minute I put it on I knew I had to have it, because it's the kind of a jacket that will keep me super warm in the winter. Fringed Southwestern Pattern Scarf is also from Forever 21, and I am guilty to say that it surely became my to go to scarf for pretty much, any of my outfits on daily basis. If you want to be truly cozy, this scarf is it! Finished off the look with a pom hat from Old Navy. Here I linked a similar one, that I think may work as well.
